At a time when prices are high and disposable incomes are squeezed, customers expect flawless service and excellent value for money every time they choose to eat out. As soon as a customer walks through your doors, they start assessing the venue’s ambience, hygiene, and level of professionalism, and if they are not impressed, you could get a poor review on Google and/or social media. Among the many aspects that contribute to the overall feel of a restaurant, [flooring](https://www.artiltd.co.uk/resin-flooring/commercial-flooring) is often overlooked by restaurateurs. However, it’s an important element that can often make or break a restaurant experience in the eyes of customers. This article will explore how [bespoke resin flooring](https://www.artiltd.co.uk/resin-flooring) can transform the look and feel of a restaurant, pub, or bar, and why it’s an excellent option for busy and stylish venues. ## **Customised Design Options** Commercial resin flooring offers a vast range of design, colour, and customisation options to choose from. With bespoke installations, restaurant managers can choose something completely different from the norm and create a unique look that stands out, aligning with the identity of their brand and the needs of their customers. Colours, patterns, and finishes can all be tailored to match the restaurant’s branding and the desired ambience as well as set the tone for the diners’ experience. Wood-look finishes, for instance, can add warmth, terrazzo finishes offer a chic and modern look for contemporary eateries, while metallic finishes can give a trendy touch to inner-city bars and social hotspots. ## **Professional Look And Easy Maintenance** Resin flooring doesn’t just look the part but is also safe and extremely easy to clean and maintain. A resin flooring system creates a seamless, level flooring area, without joints or grout lines, resulting in a clean and visually pleasing appearance – without the uneven trip hazards that frequently come with tiles and wooden floors. Food and drink spillages are unfortunately common in restaurants, and a seamless, non-porous epoxy floor can be easily cleaned and disinfected, ensuring a hygienic environment. Anti-slip additives can also encourage a safer environment by offering extra grip underfoot in areas that are prone to spills or moisture, such as bar areas, toilets, and kitchens. ## **Style And Elegance** Another benefit of epoxy flooring is its ability to reflect light. Coatings can be finished with a high-gloss sheen, which enhances the brightness of the space and makes even small restaurants and bars appear bright and airy. This is particularly useful for restaurants with limited natural light, which can appear dingy during the day and claustrophobic at night. The glossy finish of resin flooring can make a space appear larger, cleaner, and more inviting to customers, as well as reduce the risk of eye strain from excessive artificial lighting. ## **What Next?** Advanced Resin Technologies (International) provides [bespoke commercial resin flooring systems](https://www.artiltd.co.uk/resin-flooring/commercial-flooring) to customers across the UK, which can be tailored to your restaurant’s specific needs.
